Meet Audience

Audience is a translation solution for lectures, educators, and conference event organizers.

It allows any presenter to converse with a room regardless of what language they or their audience speak. The Audience app allows audience members to select and enjoy translations on their own mobile device.

How It Works

Speech is captured from the speaker’s mic (whatever they’re using to present), where it is then processed and translated in the cloud. Audience members that desire translation use their own phones or tablets to join the session via a unique code or by scanning a QR code. Once in the session, audience members select their language and listen using their own earbuds with minimal lag.

Experience seamless translation

Speech is captured from the speaker’s mic—whatever type of microphone they're using to present. The speech is processed and sent to the cloud.

In the cloud, the speaker's speech is translated using machine translation built upon Artificial Neural Networks. These models are built on the way a human brain associates meanings and ideas between concepts. The best part? The machine learning layers allow translation to improve the more people use the system.

Once in the session, audience members select their language in the app and listen using their own earbuds with minimal lag.

What are the technical requirements for using Audience?

One of the key features of Audience is that it's easily accessible to speakers and the audience members. All you need is a smartphone or tablet and a 3.5mm headphone jack for the speaker's device. That jack can connect directly to whatever PA system you're using for the speaker's mic.
The audience members will use their own smartphones or tablets to connect to your session via a unique code or by scanning the QR code.

How long is the delay in translation?

Translation happens as quickly as 1.5 seconds.
