Continuous Translation for Converse Mode is back and better than ever. You can now have a truly hands-free conversation—no more click-to-talk!
If you’ve been around for a while, you know that this is a feature we had with our Pilot Smart Earbuds and when we first launched Ambassador Interpreter. Ultimately, the feature was removed because the level of accuracy didn’t match the high standards we know the Ambassador Interpreter is capable of achieving.
Our engineers have been working around the clock to bring this highly coveted feature back without compromising on translation quality—and they have done it! Check out the details and how to turn it on below.
To try out the new features, make sure your app is up-to-date through your app store. Both iOS and Android are currently in version 2.0.1.
1. Continuous Mode is only available for conversations with up to 2 devices.
2.Two new types of filtration for higher translation accuracy.
3. Improved UI:
In Converse Mode with up to 2 devices, select the “Continuous Translation” box.
You won’t be able to select the “Continuous Translation” box if there are more than 2 devices in use. This is intentional to minimize cross-talk and ensure a high degree of accuracy in the translations. We’re actively working on a solution to make Continuous Mode available for 3 devices or more.
Once the session begins, there’s a drop down menu at the top that allows users to turn Continuous Mode on or off for one or both devices.
That’s it! Here’s the whole process from start to finish.
As always, if you have any questions or feedback, we’d love to hear from you. You can reach out to support@waverlylabs.com.
